University of Maryland redesigns Rec Center to ensure COVID-19 safety

The impact of COVID-19 has made it necessary for the University of Maryland's Recreation & Wellness Center to redesign its facilities to accommodate the state's new safety guidelines. This meant printing and installing informational signage, floor directions, check-in-stations, sanitation stations and more.

To help control and direct the traffic flow and keep people socially distant, they chose the new HP Removable Adhesive Fabric to print custom-made signs and decals.

Printed on an HP DesignJet Z5200 printer, the University Print Shop produced signage with outstanding image quality while meeting a tight school re-opening deadline.

“It looks great in our facilities,” says Hope Llansó, Coordinator of Graphic Design and Creative Services for the University. “I've gotten lots of compliments about the sharp, clear graphics. We definitely plan to use this media in the future for marketing campaigns or other in-house signage needs, COVID-related or not. We love this material and are excited to continue using it in innovative ways.”

HP Removable Adhesive Fabric is repositionable and leaves no residue. ANSI slip-rated, it is certified safe for use on floors. Compatible with Aqueous, Latex and PageWide printers, it also meets environmental objectives with REACH compliancy.
